Armando Bó is an award-winning Argentine writer-filmmaker. He is the showrunner, director and executive producer of the 8-part dramedy series EL PRESIDENTE, currently available globally on Amazon Prime Video. His directional debut, EL ÚLTIMO ELVIS, premiered at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival and received multiple accolades there and at the San Sebastian, London, France, Korea and Bulgaria film festivals. In 2018, he released his second feature film, ANIMAL. Bó is a long-standing collaborator of Mexican Academy Award winning filmmaker Alejandro González Iñárritu. The co-scribes’ relationship began with BIUTIFUL, which was nominated for Best Foreign Picture at the Academy Awards in 2009. They achieved further success with the 2015 Academy Award and Golden Globe Best Picture winning film BIRDMAN OR (THE UNEXPECTED VIRTUE OF IGNORANCE). In addition to cinematic critical acclaim, Bó is a prolific advertising director and co-founder of Rebolucion, a global award-winning film and advertising production company which has produced more than 700 spots and earned more than 25 Cannes Lions.
